Recently, the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show officially opened. At this year’s auto show, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan was officially unveiled. The new car basically continues the design of the all-new Volkswagen Tayron, which can be simply understood as a different naming convention for the same model. However, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan only offers a two row five seat layout, while the all-new Volkswagen Tayron offers two row five seat and three row seven seat layouts. In addition, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is built on the MQB evo platform and powered by a 2.0T engine. It is reported that the new car will make its official debut at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Specifically, the appearance of the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is basically the same as that of the all-new Volkswagen Tayron. The R-Line model adds an R logo on the front of the car and uses LED light strips to connect the headlights on both sides. The interior of the intake grille is a diamond shaped grid structure. In addition, the car is equipped with a luminous emblem.
The side profile of the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan also largely continues the design of the all-new Volkswagen Tayron, with a continuous decorative strip on the roof side. It is worth noting that Volkswagen has not yet announced the specific body dimensions of the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan. However, according to official pictures, the rear side window area of the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan has been reduced compared to the all-new Volkswagen Tayron, and it is expected that the body length will be reduced. As a reference, the new Volkswagen Tayron has a body length, width, and height of 4770/1852/1660mm, and a wheelbase of 2791mm.
As for the rear part of the car, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan also adopts a through type taillight group and is designed with the “Tiguan” logo under the tail label. However, the rear bumper shape is different from the all-new Volkswagen Tayron, and the through type reflective strip is cancelled and replaced with a vertical layout design.
