On August 30th, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N NPX1 made its debut at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show. The new car is based on the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and is equipped with a more exaggerated aerodynamic package. Its curb weight is 200-250 kilograms lighter than the IONIQ 5 N, and the power system is also equipped with a dual motor four-wheel drive system. The IONIQ 5 N will be the second model introduced by the Hyundai N brand to China after the all-new Elantra N, and the final selling price will be announced at this year’s Chengdu Auto Show.
Compared to the IONIQ 5 N, the IONIQ 5 N NPX1 is designed with lightweight as its primary concept and is equipped with specialized competition components. Hyundai stated that the car has improved turning speed and stability compared to the IONIQ 5 N. At the same time, the IONIQ 5 N NPX1 has reduced curb weight by 200-250 kilograms, lowered body height by 50-70 millimeters, equipped with 6-piston front brake calipers, 4-piston rear brake calipers, and race grade 6-point roll cage.
