Great Wall Motors officially announced recently that its King Kong Cannon pickup truck will usher in a new 8AT version, which is scheduled to be officially launched on the market on March 29. This new car will be equipped with a ZF 8AT gearbox.
Currently, there are 28 models in the King Kong pickup truck series on sale, including 14 diesel and gasoline versions each. However, all the King Kong Guns currently on sale are manual transmission models, and the launch of the new 8AT automatic transmission is expected to further broaden its potential consumer groups.
All Great Wall King Kong Cannon pickup trucks are equipped with 2.0T engines, and four-wheel drive models are available for consumers to choose from. It is understood that the King Kong Cannon pickup truck currently on sale has a body length of 5635mm, a wheelbase of 3410mm, a curb weight of 1925kg, and a maximum full load weight of 2750kg. The maximum horsepower of its 2.0T diesel version of the two-wheel drive entry engine is 150Ps, and the maximum horsepower of the four-wheel drive version of the entry engine is 150Ps. The peak torque is divided into two types: 330N·m and 400N·m. The 2.0T gasoline version of the two-wheel drive entry-level engine has a maximum horsepower of 190Ps and a peak torque of 360N·m.
