Recently, Dongfeng Yipai announced its new model-eπ008 (picture). It can be seen from the official pictures released that this 6-seater SUV not only pursues minimalism in design but also displays a futuristic and technological style in terms of functionality.
In terms of appearance, eπ008 inherits the design essence of eπ007, using through-type headlights and muscular lines on the hood, showing a combination of strength and beauty. The through-type design of the lower grille makes the front face appear wider and creates a certain sense of weight to the front of the car.
In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the new car are 5002/1972/1732 (mm) respectively, and the wheelbase is 3025mm. The size of eπ008 has reached the standard of medium and large SUVs. The square design behind the C-pillar not only ensures headroom for third-row passengers but also adds a sense of stability to the entire vehicle.
In terms of power, eπ008 provides two options: extended range and pure electric, which can meet the needs of different users. The pure electric model will be equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 200kW. The extended-range model will be equipped with a 1.5T engine + electric motor combination, with the maximum power of the engine being 108kW, and equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack from China New Aviation.
According to Dongfeng Yipai’s positioning in the mid-to-high-end new energy vehicle market, which is priced at RMB 150,000-250,000, eπ008 is likely to be positioned in this price range, but its benchmark competitors are the Ideal L7 and Wenjie M7. car model.
