Recently, Changan Automobile’s new UNI series model UNI-Z was officially unveiled. The car is positioned as a compact SUV. It adopts a new cockpit layout, comes standard with an L2-assisted driving system, and is equipped with a hybrid system. Judging from the release pace, the new car will go on sale shortly.
In terms of design, the front face of Changan UNI-Z adopts an inverted trapezoidal grille outline, with an L-shaped dot matrix decoration and a Changan V-shaped logo. It is also equipped with sharp-looking LED headlights. The body uses mechanical door handles with multi-spoke aluminum alloy rims, and the black treatment on the C-pillar creates a visual effect similar to a suspended roof. The rear uses a new through-type LED taillight set with a polygonal chrome exhaust decoration below.
In terms of size, the length, width, and height of Changan UNI-Z are 4730/1890/1680 mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2795 mm. Its competitors are expected to include BYD Song Pro DM-i and other models. In terms of external configuration, Changan UNI-Z will provide LED headlights, exterior face recognition, 20-inch rims, etc.
In terms of interior, Changan UNI-Z adopts a new design style, equipped with a rectangular LCD instrument panel and a large-size central control display, with a flat-bottomed inner polygonal steering wheel. The color matching of the cockpit, leather covering style, and cup holder design are also in line with the new energy vehicle. The models are relatively close. However, the car retains the traditional electronic shift lever instead of a gear lever.
Changan UNI-Z provides a rectangular instrument screen, a 14.6-inch central touch display, supports the latest Amap, Huawei mobile phone screen projection, air-conditioning blind operation, smart travel butler, voice interaction, FaceID3.0 facial recognition system, and no microphone Karaoke, gesture recognition, light language interaction, and many other functions. In addition, officials emphasized that the car will be equipped with an L2-assisted driving system as standard.
The leather covering area of Changan UNI-Z’s interior is also considerable. The front seats use integrated headrests. The main and passenger seats of high-end models support electric adjustment, ventilation, heating, and memory. The driver’s seat also provides courtesy, rest mode, and other functions. Regarding power, the new car is expected to be equipped with a hybrid system. The relevant parameters are yet to be further released by the official. Car experts will also continue to pay attention.
