The BYD Yuan UP is set to commence pre-sales on March 19th, with an official market launch scheduled for this month. This vehicle is built on the e Platform 3.0 and is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV.
Based on previously released official images, the BYD Yuan UP features a completely new design language, characterized by a more stylish and minimalist overall appearance. At the front, a closed grille bears the prominent “Yuan” emblem. A chrome strip runs centrally from the grille, connecting the sharp LED headlights on either side, greatly enhancing the vehicle’s recognition. Additionally, the smoked front bumper assembly, combined with the design of the side air deflectors, adds a touch of sportiness.
In terms of side profile, the BYD Yuan UP boasts fuller contours, with the A and B pillars treated in smoked finish to create a floating roof effect. It also incorporates blacked-out wheel arches and side skirts, along with five-spoke wheels and semi-concealed door handles. Moving to the rear, the distinctive continuous LED taillights offer high recognition when illuminated, while the expansive rear bumper enhances visual depth.
Inside, the BYD Yuan UP adopts a more minimalist interior design, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch floating central touchscreen, and a multifunction steering wheel, ensuring practicality. The cabin also adopts a dual-tone scheme and utilizes plenty of soft materials on the center console and other areas, complemented by a crystal gear lever, creating a superior interior ambiance. Dimension-wise, the vehicle measures 4310mm in length, 1830mm in width, and 1675mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2620mm. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with an electric motor capable of delivering a maximum output of 130 kilowatts.
